My rag rug is complete! My first "big" crochet project. I used old sheets to make this for my back porch. Now I can start working on a felted scarf for a dear friend of mine. I hope everyone enjoys their Saturday, I'm spending my day with the ones I love. :)
This is gorgeous! You've really jumped right in (and into the pool, lucky you) on your crocheting! I more or less taught myself, too. I love that you're into so many things. I wish we lived close to eachother, would be nice to create together! Great job! Also, you signed up or one of Susan's classes - isn't she something!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out great! I have been wanting to crochet/felt a rug for my hallway, but after I spend ALL that time making it, I will be so annoyed to have it stomped on and ruined...
ReplyDeleteKelly--this is great! What a pretty project from re-purposed sheets!!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't crochet, I'm a little envious. :)
Did you see this slideshow with the crocheted roving rugs? Maybe for your next project?!?!?

Thanks Connie!I just told my husband this morning how glad I was for the internet, since none of my friends is remotely interested in making anything-it would be so much fun to get a group of creative ladies together and create!
ReplyDeleteKerry- I feel the same way which is why I took so many pictures...but since the sheets are old and soft, I'm sure it will wash up just fine.
Heather- Thank you so much for that link!!! Oh my goodness, I sooo want to try one of those rugs. And the bolster she made with the wool disks- I drooled over the entire slide show. You would need a boatload of wool to make one of the rugs....I think I would braid the wool, machine felt the braids and then sew it together in the circular pattern...hmmm the possibilities are endless!
This looks lovely!
