This is my gift wrap for the upcoming holiday season. I figured something that has a dual purpose would be appreciated. The directions are available from Maya Made on Etsy. I can honestly say the ones made with canvas have been easier than the burlap ones. But I do love how they are turning out. So far these have been made with the recipients "colors". BTW the green one is mine...had to practice you know...lol
Off to make more..... :)
These are adorable! Well done - you are doing so many new things - can't believe you even FEEL like making the time what with teaching!
ReplyDeleteWithout all of these projects to destress me, I would probably hate teaching. Creating gives my brain a break from my work week, which knock on wood- seems to reenergize me for the week!
ReplyDeleteKelly--I've admired Maya Made's buckets for some time now, too! (I even got so far as to buy a large quantity of red burlap...then nothing.)
ReplyDeleteYours came out so great, I may need to revisit this project again myself!
Thanks for the inspiration!!! XXO-
Fabulous idea for wrapping and reuse for later!!!! These would be wonderful in red burlap and painted canvas!!!! Perhaps I still have time???????................... Is there ever enough??????????????????
ReplyDeleteTheese are fabulous!! I would love to recieve a gift wrapped in this!!! Perhaps I still have time?????? Is there ever enough??????

hello kelly! thanks for becoming a follower and you got me as a follower hihi!
ReplyDeletei love the things you make and especially the way you appoache things: the easy way and thats the way i love it.
love, riet:)
Kelly, thanks for your comment on my blog. I am in love with this carder. With a little deep blue mohair, I turned shocking pink roving into a gorgeous purple/magenta. Very cool! What great combos have you come up with??
ReplyDeleteArlene- I have been looking for that perfect blend of green for the stems of flowers. I love how every time I run the wool through the carder I get a different shade! I have a book called Felt to Stitch that has a color in felt section that helps me blend my colors by adding white or black.
