My adventures and misadventures in the fiberarts and with the animals who provide that fiber!

Here I am......remember me?
We are moved and settling in.......
What a whirlwind year this has been so far. We have been blessed with how well things have gone, we were able to sell and buy home in this horrible real estate market. There were some days I wondered if it was worth all of the hassle, but now that the dust has settled, I would say it was.
My craft area is set up inside the house, and as we clear the HUGE garage, I am staking out space for my wet felting table. :) It will be nice to have a dedicated space that will not need to be moved anytime we need to do something else out there. I am soon to be on a felting frenzy. I have as of right now close to 20 raw fleeces that I will use for some of my spinning, but others were bought specifically for wet felting.
On the animal front, my DH is currently finishing the barn (hopefully the roof this weekend!), and then we will start on the pasture fencing. I have begged that this all be done in the next 3 weeks so that I can bring 2 of my alpacas home. I have a third who is still too young, but will hopefully join us in late July! I have decided to stick with males for fiber animals only. I am waiting for word on the birth of 2 angora goats that I have put a deposit on. Then we will be done! :)
Living in the country and having a small farm of some sort has been a dream of mine for many years. The bonus of having fiber animals makes it even more exciting! I am so blessed that this has become my reality.
Whew I am rambling, but I promise, the next post WILL be on a wet felting project. Now I am off to catch up on reading the many wonderful blogs that I have missed!
