Felted vest class

Well I finally decided to try a garment. Living here in Florida makes it hard to justify felting clothing. We don't get cold enough to actually wear wool for more than a few days each winter. I saw a class being offered in Asheville for a nuno felted vest. I thought this would be my chance to make a garment I could actually wear! So off I headed to Asheville. The class was given by Suzanne Morgan, was lots of fun and I learned a lot. The long lock collar was the perfect addition!

  4. That's a beautiful long vest! Did you make 3 separate pieces and then felt them together seamlessly? It's hard to tell from the photos.

  5. Heather- thanks! I was excited to try a garment that I would be able to wear. The locks were fun to play with.

Zenitude- Thanks! The locks were the perfect touch to add a bit of fun!

Deborah, I think I got over my fear of nuno felting!

Fab- this was seamed together after the nuno felting process. I wanted to take a class that left me with something I would want to wear. Most of the one piece garments I have seen are not as fitted as I like my clothes to be.

    \Thanks All!

  6. Just love the colours Kelly especially the collar and the shape is perfect - so easy to wear! - hope you do get lots of wear out of it! I posted yesterday about a nuno felt blanket - hope it's ok to link your nuno to that page ? I was just popping by to see if your parcel has arrived yet? I'm thinking not ... I'm still having trouble with internet - maybe send me an email? Have a great day, Tiffane
