I was reading Felting Fashion and she says to massage with cool water first to get the fibres to bond and then use hotter water for fulling. Since I read that I am finding I felt much better.KerryFelterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04865499891721441616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3926480420850557370.post-52935559726364133822010-10-12T17:26:31.905-04:002010-10-12T17:26:31.905-04:00Well if I cannot use it, my daughter can for needl...Well if I cannot use it, my daughter can for needle felting! Or I can spin it up and make a crochet hat. So really no loss. I think I really just like experimenting and coming up with my own crazy way to do things! :)Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12838101904580757579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3926480420850557370.post-48003081563831312132010-10-12T05:27:55.449-04:002010-10-12T05:27:55.449-04:00Oh, Kelly...I wish you luck. It seems 'slippery' to me (and hairy, like Sharon says). My advice to you would be to card it with some wool for insurance! <br />Hugs--Heather Woollovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12791330032093043536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3926480420850557370.post-57673917054190415262010-10-11T18:57:00.448-04:002010-10-11T18:57:00.448-04:00I did see your hat! I guess I will make sure to dye enough in one color for a full project. I am having so much fun trying all of these fun things!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12838101904580757579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3926480420850557370.post-74765809031897667192010-10-11T18:06:46.213-04:002010-10-11T18:06:46.213-04:00I just wet felted a resist hat with merino and alp...I just wet felted a resist hat with merino and alpaca. It felted brilliantly, but the hairs are much longer than sheep and so you can see them more. I used them on the inside layer of the hat as they are so silky soft, but they did tend to migrate a lot when felting, so take care on your design if the color doesn't suit! I had to overdye my hat as the alapaca was dark gray and it looked KerryFelterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04865499891721441616noreply@blogger.com
